2023 West Coast SCADaddle Event

Our 7th annual West Coast SCADaddle for Research weekend took place in San Diego at beautiful Mission Bay – Crown Point Park. The 5k was timed and awards were given to the overall winner male and female. Recognition was given to 2nd and 3rd place males/females overall and to the top three males/females in a variety of age groups.

The San Diego State cheerleaders added to the festivities cheering participants at the start and as they crossed the finished line.

All participants received a participation medal when they crossed the finish line.

Afterwards, participants relaxed and enjoyed an Acai Bowl made on the spot to their liking. They watched a silk aerial demonstration and shopped the SCAD store and vendor booths.

SCAD Reunion & Mayo Clinic SCAD Presentation

2023 West Coast SCAD Reunion

On Friday evening, SCAD survivors, their supporters and families who lost someone to SCAD enjoyed the SCAD Social and Reunion event at the Marina Village Conference Center, San Diego. The evening began with a social hour and followed by a delicious taco dinner with all of fixings.

We were honored to have Dr. Patricia Best from Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program Team, Rochester, MN join us. Dr. Best presented the latest research findings. Her presentation was also streamed on Facebook. After the presentation, Dr Best answered questions from the audience including those submitted through Facebook.
