2022 National (IL) 5k SCADaddle©
Saturday, June 18, 2022
Our National chip-timed run/walk on June 18, 2022 at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL was a great success, raising thousands of dollars for research!
Prior to the start of the 5K, participants lined both sides of the trail before the start line and recognized the survivors who were present.
All runners/walkers were timed. Gift certificates from Fleet Feet Sports Chicago were awarded to Evan Armitage overall 1st place male finisher and Laurel Shapiro overall 1st place female finisher. Overall 2nd and 3rd place male/female finishers received Target gift certificates. Medals were given to all participants.
Following the 5K, there was a silent auction, raffle of a beautiful quilt made by survivor Mary Manderscheid, SCAD store items, refreshments and several family fun activities. Participants also enjoyed a complimentary pasta lunch. The lucky winner of Mary’s Quilt was Margie Maricich.
