Mayo Clinic Latest SCAD Research Presentation
SCAD Research, Inc Updates

News and energy were in the air on June 16, 2023 at our 10th annual National SCAD Social/Reunion Dinner. SCAD Research, Inc (SRI) started off with a number of exciting announcements. Mayo Clinic’s Presentation followed with additional exciting news and future endeavors.

SCAD Research Inc Update
Bob Alico, founder and past president, shared a framed keepsake of our story, published in February’s Mayo Clinic’s Magazine. Our new board members were introduced. Bob then welcomed Ellen Robin, SRI’s new President. She talked about the new board members and her vision for SRI.

Ellen also recognized the retiring board members Pete Zich and Dave McGarry who have served for at least 10 years along with Bob Alico and Jan Saillard. Bob and Jan will remain on the board for the foreseeable future to help enable a smooth transition. Carol Zich, who among her many other roles served as our 5K Coordinator for many years, was also recognized.

Mayo Clinic’s Presentation

Thank you to everyone who has participated in Mayo Clinic’s research and those who have raised money to advance research. As you’ll hear in Mayo’s presentation, your participation in their study and everyone’s fundraising efforts are paying off!

We appreciate Nick D’Orazio for sharing his expertise and streaming the National presentation again this year. Nick lost his wife Mary to SCAD several years ago.
