The virtual SCAD Survivor Social on February 26 was the highlight of SCAD Heart Attack Awareness Week (February 21-27). After a brief welcome, a panel with four survivors shared their experiences. Afterwards, participants broke into small groups by regions. Participants were able to easily move between regions.
A big thank you to Carol Zich for the countless hours spent organizing the social and to Amanda Frisbee for her Zoom skills, which made the virtual social possible.
Thank you to panel moderators Jill McComsey and Deb McGarry and panelists Laura Haywood-Cory, Claudia Kime, Deion Cross & Audrey Tatar for sharing their incredible stories and the insights they have gained the past 5-10+ years since their SCADs.
We also appreciate the breakout group moderators – April Rourke (MI), Diane Berger (CA), Natalie Brawner (IL), Lee Ann Freeze (NC), Kelley Hoolihan (MN) and Jill McComsey (PA). The small groups provided a way for survivors to get to know & support each other.
