We hope you will take a few minutes to watch our ceremonial check presentation to Mayo Clinic on December 5 and hear Dr. Hayes’ words of appreciation.
For the first time, you’ll be able to watch Deb (survivor) and Dave (board member) McGarry present the check on your behalf and Dr. Hayes’ expression of appreciation to ALL of you who work so hard to raise both awareness and money for research. Our 2016 donation is $50,000 more than our 2015 donation. Together we have accomplished much!
The 5K SCADaddle for Research events are our major fundraisers and are organized by volunteers. We hope you will join us in IL (May 6), PA (June 10) and/or CA (Sept. 9). Check the 5K Schedule webpage for links to the PA and CA 5Ks as plans are finalized. A special thank you also to survivors who organized other fundraiser events in 2016 including the 5kms in Australia, the Toll Brothers fundraiser and the Revlon Challenge.
Since SCAD Research Inc. began in 2011, we have donated a total of $435,000 to help advance Mayo Clinic’s groundbreaking research on SCAD. Not bad for an all-volunteer, grassroots, five year old organization!
