Join us at our 1st annual Fun Run/Walk to raise money for much needed research on the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50 – spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).

The SCADaddle© fun run/walk starts at 9:00am at beautiful Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township – approx. 20 miles NE of downtown Detroit. The paved trail goes through woods and along the shoreline of Lake St. Clair! All registered participants will receive a medal and 5K t-shirt (must register by 5/1 to guarantee your t-shirt).

In addition to the 5K, there will be refreshments, opportunities to purchase tickets to win a quilt or baskets, face painting & fun for the whole family!

The 5K fun run/walk will take place on a paved course through woods and along the shore of Lake St. Clair. Relax and enjoy refreshments afterwards. There will also be opportunities to purchase tickets for drawings on a quilt and baskets of items.

Special Event for Survivors, Supporters & Families Impacted by SCAD

In addition to the 5K, we have a special Friday evening planned especially for SCAD Survivors, their supporters and families of loved ones who did not survive (our SCAD Angels). This is a great way to meet others and establish lasting friendships.

Unable to Attend and Want to Support

If you are unable to join us in person at our Michigan 5K, you can sponsor a fellow survivor or family member impacted by SCAD; attend one of our other 5Ks; participate virtually or donate directly to SCAD Research, Inc. Virtual participants receive a 5K t-shirt and have an opportunity to set up a personal fundraising page to raise funds for research.
