Join us at our 10th annual timed run/walk to raise money for much needed research on the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50 – spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).
The SCADaddle© chip timed run/walk will take place at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL. The USATF certified 5K course runs through and around the park on a varied terrain of crushed cinder, concrete sidewalk and grass. The run starts at 9:00 am and all participants will be timed. Awards/recognition will be given to top male & female overall finishers and by age categories.
In addition to the 5K, there will be lunch, an awards ceremony and fun for the whole family.

The 5K chip-timed run/walk will take place on an USATF Certified crushed limestone course. The course winds through the preserve’s prairie and woodland habitats. Lunch, awards ceremony and fun for the entire family will take place after the 5K.
Registration
When you register, please consider forming a team and/or personalizing your own fundraising page. Your fundraising page is automatically set up when you register. You can email a link to your fundraising or team page to family and friends as well as post on social media. Thank you for helping to raise funds for research!
Register by May 15 to guarantee your 5K t-shirt.
Awards & Recognitions
Awards will be given to overall winner male and female. Medals/recognition will be given to 2nd and 3rd place male/female overall and to the top three males/females for age groups: 11 and under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and up.

Special Event for Survivors, Supporters and Families Impacted by SCAD
In addition to the 5K, we have a special Friday evening planned for SCAD Survivors, their supporters, and families of loved ones who did not survive (our SCAD Angels). You’ll have the opportunity to meet new and reconnect with old friends, along with Dr. Sharonne Hayes, Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program Team Lead and an internationally recognized SCAD expert. We hope you will join us!

5:00pm Art Therapy Workshop lead by SCAD Survivor – Laura Haywood.
6:00pm Event will begin with our Meet & Greet. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
7:00pm Dinner
8:00pm Presentation by and Q&A with Dr. Sharonne Hayes
9:00pm Continue to socialize and shop the SCAD Store!
Join us for a delicious dinner with a choice of a chicken or vegetarian entrée – $56 per entree. A kid’s meal is also available (ages 3-12) – $28 each

COVID Protocol for SCAD Reunion In order to enhance the safety of everyone, the SCAD Research Inc., Board of Directors recommends that everyone tests before attending the social reunion and dinner. If you test positive, please do not attend the social reunion/dinner. Masks are optional but encouraged for all attendees.
Overnight Accommodations
We have a block of hotel reservations at Embassy Suites Naperville for June 17. The group rate is $149/night plus tax for 1 king suite or 2 queen/2 room suite. This is the location of the Friday evening dinner and presentation.
Your stay includes WIFI, an evening reception, a cooked-to-order hot breakfast, and free parking.
Reserve by May 18 to secure this discounted rate. After May 18, the hotel will release unreserved rooms.
