Join us at our 9th annual run/walk to raise money for much needed research on the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50 – spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).
The SCADaddle© chip timed run/walk will take place at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL. The USATF certified 5K course runs through and around the park on a varied terrain of crushed cinder, concrete sidewalk and grass. The run starts at 9:00 am and all participants will be timed. Awards/recognition will be given to top male & female overall finishers and by age categories.
In addition to the 5K, there will be lunch, an awards ceremony, a silent auction, quilt raffle and fun for the whole family.

The 5K chip-timed run/walk will take place on an USATF Certified crushed limestone course. The course winds through the preserve’s prairie and woodland habitats. Lunch, awards ceremony, a silent auction, a raffle on a quilt made by a survivor and activities will take place after the 5K.
When you register, please consider forming a team and/or personalizing your own fundraising page, which is automatically set up when you register. You can email a link to your fundraising or team page to family and friends as well as post on social media. Thank you for helping to raise funds for research!
Register by May 20 to guarantee your 5K t-shirt.
Awards & Recognitions
Awards will be given to overall male and female winners. Medals/recognition will be given to 2nd and 3rd place male/female overall and to the top three male/female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and older.

Special Event for Survivors, Supporters & Families Impacted by SCAD
In addition to the 5K, we have a special Friday evening planned for SCAD Survivors, their supporters, and families of loved ones who did not survive (our SCAD Angels). You’ll have the opportunity to meet new and reconnect with old friends, along with Dr. Sharonne Hayes, Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program Team Lead and an internationally recognized SCAD expert. We hope you will join us!

9:00pm Continue to socialize, shop the SCAD Store, and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a beautiful survivor made quilt too!
Join us for a delicious dinner with a choice of a chicken or vegetarian entree. A kids’ meal is also available (ages 3-12).

Dinner options 1 and 2 are $52, kids’ meal is $26. Tax & gratuity included.

COVID Protocol for SCAD Reunion In order to enhance the safety of everyone, the Board of Directors is requesting that all attendees at the SCAD Social Reunion events:
- Must attest that they completed COVID-19 testing of any kind and received a negative test result on Friday, June 17 OR that if a positive COVID-19 test result of any kind was received within the past 90 days, it has been at least 20 days since COVID-19 infection, and they are currently asymptomatic.
- Must attest that they will comply with all safety requirements and that they understand the inherent risk associated with being in large groups of people
- Masking is recommended but not required

We have a block of hotel reservations at Embassy Suites Naperville for June 17. The group rate is $149/night plus tax for 1 king suite or 2 queen/2 room suite. This is the location of the Friday evening dinner and presentation.
