SW Florida/Sarasota 5K Sunset SCADaddle© for Research a Success!!!

The second chip timed sunset SCADaddle© run/walk on March 29 at Payne Park in Sarasota, FL kicked off the 2019 SCADaddle© season. The 5K participants ran through and around the park on a varied terrain of crushed cinder, concrete sidewalk and grass. Walkers completed a one mile route. Thousands of dollars were raised for research.

All runners were timed. Awards were given to overall winners male and female. Medals/ recognitions were given to 2nd and 3rd place males/females overall and to the top three males/females in various age groups.
Other activities included a Kids Fun Run, live island-style band, hula-hoop fun and raffles. Participants enjoyed a complimentary pasta dinner with a fresh homemade donut. SCAD survivors enjoyed an informal lunch prior to the 5K.
