Join us at our 8th annual Run/Walk to raise money for much needed research on the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50 – spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).
The chip timed SCADaddle© Run/Walk will take place at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL. The USATF certified 5K course runs through and around the park on a varied terrain of crushed cinder, concrete sidewalk and grass. The run starts at 9:00 am and all participants will be timed. Awards/recognition will be given to top male & female overall finishers and by age categories.
In addition to the 5K, there will be refreshments, an awards ceremony, a silent auction, face painting & fun for the whole family.

Start time: 9:00 am
The 5K chip-timed run/walk will take place on an USATF Certified crushed limestone course. The course winds through the preserve’s prairie and woodland habitats. Refreshments, awards ceremony and a silent auction will take place after the 5K.
Register for the 5K by May 24 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Awards & Recognitions
Awards will be given to overall winner male and female. Medals/recognition will be given to 2nd and 3rd place male/female overall and to the top three males/females for age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and older.

5K Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship of the 5K by businesses and organizations is key to raising additional money for research on the causes and best treatment options for SCAD. Special Event for Survivors, Supporters & Families Impacted by SCAD
In addition to the 5K, we have a special Friday evening planned especially for SCAD Survivors, their supporters and families of loved ones who did not survive (our SCAD Angels). You will have the opportunity to meet new & old friends, along with many Mayo SCAD Research team members. We hope you will join us!
Itinerary for June 7
6:30 pm – the event will begin at The Embassy Suites (Naperville) Murray ballroom with our meet & greet. A cash bar will be available for the evening, along with a signature ❤️ cocktail.
7:30 – Dinner & Drs. Sharonne Hayes, Timothy Olson (Genetic Lab) and Marysia S. Tweet from the Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program will present the latest research findings.

We have reserved a block of rooms for Friday 6/7 at The Embassy Suites where our event will be held. Please make sure to indicate the correct date when booking online. Last day to book a room is May 8 at a rate of $149. For additional nights, please call Kelly Hayes directly at 630.780.1990.
As registered guests, you will receive free made-to-order breakfast every morning in Brickstones, their inviting on-site restaurant & complimentary alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks and light appetizers at the nightly Evening Reception.
